How did we learn to fly?
This term, Year 2 will learn about a range of important inventors and understand their significance in the history of flight. Using a timeline, children will explore how flight was invented and developed over time, identifying key inventions and changes that have shaped todays aviation.
In Science, Year 2 will investigate a range of materials and explore their different properties and uses. They will compare materials, carry out simple investigations and consider why particular materials are suitable for different purposes.

Jigsaw PSHE - Being Me In My World
In this Puzzle, children explore their hopes, fears and feelings, learning how to manage worries and seek help. They develop a sense of belonging and learn about rights, responsibilities and making positive choices. They also explore rewards, consequences and how to make the classroom safe and fair.
There is a wonderful website below that is useful for your child and for you as a parent. It has games and information about feelings, health, illnesses and sections on body image, mental health and much more. There is also a section for you, the parent, to refer to for information on the school nurse and it shows local Solihull support services.
