From Nursery to Year 6, children will be exposed to a range of text types. Below is a list of all the texts the children will be engaging in.
Children will be engaging in:
- A classic
- Acclaimed contemporary work
- Reflect children’s varied identities, lived experiences, and interests
- Contain reliable knowledge about the world in which children live, providing insight into the lives of others
- They are varied in content supporting breadth of knowledge, themes and concepts
- They are language rich
- They are well crafted allowing children to consider and understand more than is obvious when first reading
